Further info

One of the brightest stars working on the British comedy circuit, Manchester based Justin Moorhouse is a talented stand-up comedian, writer and actor - not to mention an award-winning radio presenter and a household name in his native North West.

Early in his career, his exuberant, larger than life personality and cheeky northern charm quickly allowed him to build a reputation on the live comedy circuit.  He was name 'City Life Comedian of the Year' in 2000 and was second placed in the 'BBC New Talent Awards' the following year.  He was soon supporting stand-up luminaries Jimmy Carr, Peter Kay, Dave Spikey, John Thomson and Johnny Vegas on tour before going on to play to sell out audiences across the North West with his own solo shows.

On TV screens, Justin is perhaps most recognisable as Young Kenny in the hugely successful, award-winning 'Phoenix Nights'.  He spent the whole of the second series with his face painted as a tiger and also made a brief appearance in the spin-of series 'Max & Paddy's Road To Nowhere'.  Other TV appearances include 'The Charlotte Church Show' (Ch4), '8 Out of 10 Cats' (Ch 4),  'The Grumpy Guides' (BBC 2) 'Shameless' (E4), 'The Live Floor Show' (BBC 2), 'Does Doug Know' (Ch 4), 'Stan The Man' (Granada), 'Buried' (Ch 4), 'Massive' (BBC Three) and 'The World Stands Up' and 'The Comedy Store' (Paramount).  He has also presented a Friday night entertainment show 'Talk of the Town', (Granada) and 'Twisted TV' (Challenge).

"Good, honest, down-to-earth, funny situational comedy... If you have had about all you can take of experimental theatre and want a guaranteed hour of laughs, go see this show." 4 **** www.chortle.co.uk

"Moorhouse charms the pants off the crowd" Sunday Times Critical List

"Quirky and imaginative...A brilliant entertainer" The Stage

"Funnier than a monkey on a bike - and that's funny!" Dave Spikey

"Hilarious" Manchester Evening News

"Exudes a likeable energy that could raise the dead...his is the sort of personality which you instinctively trust to make you laugh - and he doesn't disappoint...impressive indeed." www.chortle.co.uk

"Simply superb" Liverpool Echo

Chris Ramsey and Steve Shanyaski provide support.

Chris Ramsey was a finalist in the2008 Chortle Student Comedy Award and a finalist in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award the following year.  He was a member of The Comedy Zone showcase at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival, performing his debut solo show at the 2010 Fringe.

Steve Shanyaski walked out on a mind numbing office job and straight onto a comedy stage in the beginning of 2003, and has not looked back since.

Within half a year of his comedic birth he had made it through to the semi-finals of the BBC New Comedian of the Year, the North West Comedian of the Year Final, and later that year he had the honour of appearing on the BBC7 Radio Showcase "Spanking New".

Since then he has added to his list of accolades by being named the Holsten Pils Comedian of the Year 2005, and the Birmingham Comedy Festival's best breaking talent 2005.

Steve has more strings in his bow than Nicanor Zabaleta (THE world famous harpist!). A very charismatic and silly performer with a natural talent for spinning yarns, a fertile imagination, and a skilled musical background, his act combines as many elements as Steve can muster.

Please note that the line up at each event is subject to change without prior notice.  In the event of an act cancelling we will endeavour to replace them with an act of equal quality.  If an act or acts cannot be replaced, the event may be cancelled, in which case full refunds will be given.
