Chris Difford
Has brought us characters and sketches from every day life, turning the mundane into the beautiful, the urbane into the exquisite, for over 30 years. With his partner, collaborator, friend and Squeeze co-founder Glenn Tilbrook (not appearing), Chris has written some of the most enduring and best-loved songs of our time. Up The Junction, Cool For Cats and Labelled With Love, to name but a few.
Chris' 2012 "It's all about me!" shows will consist mostly of new and old songs, from the early Squeeze hits to the present day and his well respected solo work. His story from truancy at school to Madison Square Gardens joined with his journey in the music industry will also be told in part with short films.
Chris says:
"I will lead each chapter of my life with appropriate song and banter. I hope to entertain people with the places I have been and embrace everyone with the luck that has fallen into my lap over the years."
Norman Lovett
Aiding and abetting Chris in his own inimitable style
Joining Chris will be the fantastic Norman Lovett, bringing his own inimitable style of stand up comedy. Possibly best known for his role as "Holly", the ship's computer in the BBC hit sitcom Red Dwarf, Norman played the original Comedy Store many times and even supported The Clash, one of the personal highlights of his career.
"A natural born comic ... his delivery is so deadpan, he makes Jack Dee seem like Ken Dodd ... few could ever match his subtle skill." - Edinburgh Evening News
