The Hallé's New Year's appearances in Bradford have proved to be enormously popular, and this year's concert continues this great tradition with an irresistible programme. It includes several items from three of the most popular operettas ever written - Die Fledermaus, The Gypsy Baron and The Merry Widow - as well as several of the finest concert waltzes by Johann Strauss II and Franz Léhar. The soloist in the vocal items is the beautiful Welsh soprano Natasha Marsh, and conducting is the popular maestro Stephen Bell.
