Further info
In 1963, the Secretary of State for war, John 'Jack' Profumo, was forced to resign after it was established that he had lied to the House about the nature of his relationship with a young showgirl Christine Keeler. She was also involved with a Russian spy during her affair with the Secretary of State. The ensuing scandal was in part responsible for the resignation of the Prime Minister Harol MacMillan and the suicide of the man who introduced Keeler to Profumo, Stephen Ward.
Starring Paul Nicholas, this play, written by Gill Adams with Keeler's sanction and involvement, is based on the 2001 autobiography 'The Truth At Last', written by Christine Keeler with Douglas Thompson.
Alice Coulthard will play Christine Keeler. Alice is well known for her 2 year role as Maisie Wylde in EMMERDALE. Alice's other television appearances include HOLBY CITY, THE BILL and the cult film THE CEMENT GARDEN.
This production contains some nudity.
