With a raw energy seldom seen in any other acoustic band, Seth Lakeman has taken traditional music to a whole new audience through his rhythmic, captivating brand of indie-folk.
His acclaimed new album Hearts and Minds was released earlier this year, following on from the success of Freedom Fields and Poor Man's Heaven, which brought BBC awards, chart appearances and Mercury nominations.
Seth's songs retain the narrative depth of the folk tradition, many rooted in stories from his native West Country, while the sound has a percussive, rockier edge which has brought him a loyal following from both within and way beyond the traditional music scene.
