ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS AUTUMN SEASON
Bradford Theatres are very pleased to announce an amazing autumn 2012 season at their leading Yorkshire venues: the Alhambra Theatre, St George's Hall, The Studio and King's Hall & Winter Garden in Ilkley. This season includes the world's most famous whodunit play, classic & brand new musicals, the Royal Shakespeare Company, contemporary dance, classical ballet, the greatest tribute acts around, the longest running classical music season in the UK, the top comedians and the greatest Panto of them all!

"The Alhambra Theatre is packed with regional exclusives: Bouncers, Royal Shakespeare Company's Julius Caesar, The Rise & Fall of Little Voice, Some Like It Hip Hop and Daddy Cool.
Plus a diverse range of music at St George's Hall, including David Essex, The Proclaimers,
Leo Sayer, Jools Holland; as well as Bradford's international classical season, led by Lesley Garrett as Patron, and which celebrates its 147th year. You'll have to book early for the array of comedy coming to town: Al Murray, Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle, Dara O'Briain, Imran Yusuf, Russell Kane to name but a few!
We're still making much wider use of our venues with events like our Murder Mystery dinners at both the Alhambra and King's Hall & Winter Garden, our Ilkley venue; plus a second Wine Tasting dinner event after the popularity of our first one earlier this year.

Wine Tasting Evening: Thursday 6 September 7pm, Alhambra Front of House. A French wine tasting evening complete with a 5-course dinner. The wines are selected to complement each course and your wine expert for the evening will explain about the wines and why they have been paired with the menu.
Bouncers by West Yorkshire's John Godber: Wednesday 12 - Saturday 15 September, Alhambra Theatre
Starring Ace Bhatti(EastEnders), Don Gilet(55 Degrees North , EastEnders), William Ilkley(Hollyoaks, Holby, Emmerdale) & Ian Reddington(EastEnders, Coronation Street). Follow Les, Judd, Ralph and Lucky Eric as they prepare for another night, another crowd. The lads are on the pull, the girls are on the razzle and the beer and alco-pops are flowing free. Slow dancing and snogging, chips and late-night kebabs - and the bouncers see it all. It's a night to remember - you'll laugh til they throw you out! Winner of the 1980 Tony Award for "Best New Musical" and the 2001 Tony Award for "Best Revival of a Musical", this timeless, inspiring tale of small town Peggy Sawyer's rise from chorus line to Broadway star features Dave Willetts and Marti Webb. Royal Shakespeare Company Julius Caesar: Tuesday 25 - Saturday 29 September, Alhambra Theatre
Shakespeare's great political thriller finds dark contemporary echoes in modern Africa, directed by RSC Artistic Director Designate Gregory Doran. Gregory's most recent RSC productions include Written on the Heart, Shakespeare's 'lost-play' Cardenio and his 2008 production of Hamlet. The company includes Paterson Joseph as Brutus, Cyril Nri as Cassius, Ray Fearon as Mark Antony and Jeffery Kissoon as Caesar. Captioned performance: Fri 28 Sept 7.30pm. Playing alongside Julius Caesar, this specially commissioned production, I Cinna (The Poet), tells the story of Julius Caesar through the eyes of Cinna, one of the minor characters in the play.

St Petersburg Orchestra:Thursday 11 October 7.30pm, St George's Hall. Join us for the opening concert of the 2012/13 orchestral concert season in Bradford. This famed orchestra will perform, amongst other pieces, Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis by Vaughan Williams, which for the last five years has been chosen by Classic FM listeners as one of the top five most popular works in the entire classical repertoire.

Batsheva Ensemble is the younger wing of Israel's outstanding and world class contemporary dance group Batsheva Dance Company and this is their first visit to the UK. In the UK they will be performing Deca Dance which brings together memorable and favourite segments of Naharin's creations from the last 20 years.
