It's only one day until West Yorkshire's biggest Pantomime begins its six week run at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford. Aladdin - The Magical Pantomime Adventure opens this Saturday!

The cast is led by Bradford's own pantomime king, Billy Pearce and X Factor star Chico. They are joined by established pantomime dame and musical theatre actor, Adam Stafford as Widow Twankey; Japanese-born singer, actor and musician, Masashi Fujimoto as The Emperor; Jenny Gayner as the Princess, whose West End credits include Chicago and Spamalot; The Acromaniacs as The Chinese Policemen; plus many more including dancers, a live band and the traditional juvenile dance troupe, The Sunbeams.

If that fabulous cast wasn't enough, we have an extra special guest making an appearance! Santa will be in the Alhambra Theatre on Tuesday 17 December from 6pm, for any children (or grown-ups!) who would like to say hello.

Restaurant 1914 is open at the Alhambra Theatre during the run of Aladdin. Families can enjoy a relaxed dining experience with the best views over City Park. The restaurant is open on all Aladdin performance days and will be serving a specially prepared festive menu. Children (aged 12 & under) can enjoy favourites like Sausage & Mash, Chicken Nuggets & Chips or Pizza Margherita as part of a 3-course meal for only £4.50.

Adam Renton, Bradford Theatres General Manager says:

"For many years, Alhambra pantos have been an essential part of the Festive Season in Bradford and this year, audiences are in for another fabulous show with star names and some amazing special effects.

Panto is perfect entertainment for the whole family, and for some this is their very first visit to the theatre. We're committed to making sure their visit is truly magical and we're offering some great deals - family tickets are available offering discount prices, plus we have a delicious festive menu available in our theatre restaurant that is both affordable and family-friendly.

A visit to the Alhambra pantomime is a real treat at Christmas, and we're delighted to be able to offer such high quality entertainment in the heart of Bradford."

So kick-start your perfect family Christmas with the Alhambra Theatre's pantomime, which opens on Saturday 14 December 2013 and runs until Sunday 26 January 2014.
