Chico joins the cast of Aladdin at The Alhambra Theatre this Christmas

Bradford\'s Alhambra Theatre has announced that pop-sensation Chico is to join the cast of Yorkshire\'s biggest pantomime Aladdin, in the role of \'Slave of The Ring\'. Chico joins Bradford pantomime king Billy Pearce, whose return for his fifteenth Alhambra pantomime has already been announced.

Chico became a household name appearing on the second series of The X-Factor. Following the show it came as no surprise when his first single Chico Time knocked Madonna off the top of the charts for his first number 1 hit.  The singer turned skating-star last year, captivating the nation with spectacular routines on ITV1\'s Dancing on Ice, proving ever-popular with the voting public, and reaching the final.

Chico\'s numerous television appearances have included Loose Women, Toonattick, The Real Hustle and Ant and Dec\'s Saturday Night Takeaway. He also came third in the ITV2 mile-high reality show Celeb Air, has been the face of Nickelodeons\' anti-bullying campaign and even notched up a blind date with Dame Edna Everage!

Chico has just finished touring the UK with the legendary Osmond Brothers and Gareth Gates in Boogie Nights, which stopped off at Bradford Theatres\' other city centre venue, St George\'s Hall, for one night in March.

Michael Harrison managing director of Qdos Entertainment and executive producer of Aladdin says:

\"Chico is such an energetic and charismatic performer, I\'m delighted that he\'ll be joining us in Bradford this year. We\'re in the early stages of writing this year\'s script, but audiences will be sure to enjoy the voice and moves for which Chico is famed!\"

Press quotes from last year\'s Cinderella
\"With a set bursting with colour, morphing from a winter wonderland to a Viennese style ballroom, this is a fabulous feelgood family show.\" Telegraph & Argus 19 Dec 12

***** (five stars) \"With its breathtaking sets, lavish costumes and some startling special effects, Cinderella can only be described as magical.\" Yorkshire Post 4 Jan 13

Aladdin is produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world\'s largest pantomime producer, who will produce 24 pantomimes across the UK this Christmas.
