Over the summer we held two very special tours for Premium Friends members - a behind the scenes look at the work of the technical department, including the opportunity to try operating a follow spot, focusing lights, using the sound and lighting desks, 'flying' a bar used for scenery plus visiting areas of the theatre normally only seen by the technical crew.

Other recent events have included exclusive backstage tours of the Alhambra Theatre during Lady In The Van, Swan Lake on Ice and of St George's Concert Hall in celebration of St George's Day.  As well as visiting backstage areas not normally seen by the public, Premium Friends Members met cast and crew during Lady In The Van, found out how an ice rink is created on stage during the Swan Lake on Ice tour and had an insight into the fascinating history of the oldest concert hall in the UK during the St George's Hall tour. 

Friends members also have their own exclusive opening night events and we're delighted to announce another opening night event for Bradford Theatres Friends, who can now book for an exclusive Keeler event on Tuesday 27 September.  Supper, dessert and tea or coffee will be served before the performance for the exclusive price of just £20 per person.  Best seats for Keeler on the opening night are normally £24.50 so with a two course supper included, this event gives you a considerable saving of over £18 per person!  The event starts at 6pm and supper will be served in the Upper Circle Front of House area.  Tickets can be booked by telephoning 01274 432000.

There are a very limited number of places still available for the Rambert Dance Company event on Wednesday 23 November.  Join members of Bradford Theatres Management Team for a special pre show event, including supper followed by coffee and petit fours, before taking your seat to watch Rambert Dance Company perform at The Alhambra Theatre for the first time in over twenty years.  Tickets for this event are also £20 (again a huge saving!) and can be booked by telephoning 01274 432000.

Previous events have included Avenue Q, To Kill A Mockingbird, Havana Rakatan and Deborah Colker.
