Welcome to the 2009/10 International Orchestral Concert Season with Bradford Chamber Season
I would like to thank everyone who has supported Bradford Theatres and Bradford International Orchestral Concert Season over the years as we now approach our 144th season. We are extremely proud that the city of Bradford hosts the very best in all genres of music and the forthcoming classical season is no exception.
Each year, we face new challenges. This year we have decided to make some small changes which we are sure you will support. We are committed to bringing classical music to new generations in Bradford in order to secure the future of the season and to help achieve this, we have decided to present a special concert of classical music from modern cinema celebrating the work of John Williams.
To accommodate this, we will present eight orchestral concerts at St George's Hall rather than our usual nine (subscription packages reflect this).
With such long-running seasons behind us, we do hope you continue to support the season and we are sure you will enjoy the concerts we present this year. As you will see in the following pages, our new season is packed full of the best orchestras, conductors, soloists and music including our resident orchestra, the Hallé.
Whether you are a regular attendee or a newcomer to our season, we welcome you and hope you enjoy what we have to offer.
With best regards
Adam Renton
