Sonia Friedman Productions’ dazzling, multiple-award winning musical Dreamgirls is coming to the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford in February 2023.

Featuring the classic songs And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going, Listen and One Night Only, this sensational production tells the story of Effie, Lorrell and Deena – three talented young singers in the turbulent 1960s, a revolutionary time in American music history. The three friends embark upon a musical rollercoaster ride through a world of fame, fortune and the ruthless realities of show business, testing their friendships to the very limit.

Dreamgirls will star Nicole Raquel Dennis as Effie White with Sharlene Hector performing the iconic role at certain performances, Natalie Kassanga as Deena Jones, Paige Peddie as Lorrell Robinson, Matt Mills as Curtis Taylor Jr., Brandon Lee Sears as Jimmy Early, Shem Omari James as C.C. White, Jo Servi as Marty and Brianna Ogunbawo as Michelle Morris.

Senbla presents Opera International's award-winning Ellen Kent Productions La Bohème, Madama Butterfly and Aida – a welcome return to Bradford.

Puccini's La Bohème is one of the most romantic operas ever written. This classic tale of Parisian love and loss features many famous arias including Your Tiny Hand is Frozen, They Call Me Mimi and Muzetta’s Waltz.

Back by public demand, Madama Butterly returns in a new production with exquisite sets including a spectacular Japanese garden and fabulous costumes including antique wedding kimonos from Japan. Puccini’s Madama Butterfly tells the heart-breaking story of the beautiful young Japanese girl who falls in love with an American naval lieutenant – with dramatic results.

In Verdi's Aida, the splendour of Egypt is set against the grandeur of the Coliseum of Rome with Ellen Kent’s direction influenced by the ancient Greek dramas of Euripides and symbolising the powerful religious hold of the priests of Egypt. A tragic story of war, jealousy and revenge.

The sensational multi award-winning Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story returns to the Bradford as part of its 2023 UK Tour.

This rock & roll musical tells Buddy Holly’s story, from his Texas rockabilly beginnings to international stardom and his legendary final performance at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa, before his tragic death at the age of just 22. Featuring two terrific hours of the greatest songs ever written, including That’ll Be The Day, Oh Boy, Rave On, La Bamba, and many more, this show is just Peggy Sue-perb!

The smash-hit West End production of ANNIE returns to the Alhambra Theatre in July 2023. Set in 1930s New York, young Annie is forced to live a life of misery at Miss Hannigan’s orphanage. Her luck changes when she's chosen to spend Christmas with famous billionaire, Oliver Warbucks. Meanwhile, Miss Hannigan has other ideas and hatches a plan to spoil Annie’s search for her family…
