Something for Everyone at Bradford Theatres in Spring 2016

The spring 2016 season at Bradford Theatres is jam packed with a fantastic selection of shows.

There are fun-filled new musicals Last Night a DJ Saved My Life starring David Hasselhoff, Jackie The Musical and TOM A Story of Tom Jones The Musical; plus classics Chicago, The Sound of Music and cult phenomenon Rocky Horror Show.

Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures return with a gothic take on Sleeping Beauty, critically acclaimed
Nederlands Dans Theater 2 and the nation’s favourite ballroom couple Anton & Erin in their new show Just
Gotta Dance. From un-missable dramas Lord of the Flies and Royal Shakespeare Company’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream to opera classics Tosca and Carmen presented by Ellen Kent productions, we have it all, including everyone’s favourite Britain’s Got Talent champions Ashleigh and Pudsey in Mission Impudseyble!

If that wasn’t enough, we have a bumper season at St George’s Hall, King’s Hall in Ilkley and The Studio,
with great music from Heather Small, Lulu, Jack Jones and 80’s invasions with performances from Big
Country, Midge Ure, Nick Heyward and Curiosity Killed The Cat. Comedians Ed Byrne, Paddy McGuinness and Shazia Mirza at St George’s Hall and Dane Baptiste and Tom Stade at the Studio. For the children We’re Going on a Bear Hunt at St George’s Hall and Marvellous Imaginary Menagerie at King’s Hall Ilkley.

“Although the autumn months are only just upon us, we’re already looking forward to the spring season at Bradford Theatres, which promises to be a very exciting time. We welcome a diverse and dynamic range of productions to the Alhambra Theatre, including return visits from the Royal Shakespeare Company, teaming up with a local amateur theatre company; Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty; and Nederlands Dans Theater 2; as well as iconic musicals, Chicago and Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show.

We hope you will be as excited as we are about some of the long-running international musicals which make Yorkshire exclusive visits to our award-winning venue later in 2016: Billy Elliot The Musical, Wicked and Mary Poppins.”
