Miloš Karadaglic, is regarded as perhaps the greatest guitarist in the world today and along with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra, he performs the most popular of all guitar pieces, the Guitar Concerto Aranjuez with its ravishing slow movement.
We move back to Spain from South America for the final two pieces of the evening’s programme. De Falla’s El Amor Brujo Ballet Suite (translated as The Bewitched Love) is distinctly Spanish in character whilst Bizet’s Suite from Carmen features a selection of highlights from the opera. It promises to be an evening of fire and passion.
