Barry From Watford - Shooting From The New Hip

Demagogue? Iconoclast? Dilettante? Virtuoso? Ok, these words have nothing to do with the show but they do make it sound clever and that's what it's all about. Shooting from the (new) hip, still alive and kicking, the nation's favourite octogenarian and hit of Radio 2's Steve Wright in the Afternoon and Sky Atlantic's Common Ground returns with his stand-up show armed with fierce one-liners, biting satire plus some effing and that sort of thing for the teens. A rip-roaring, fast-paced hilarious show.

82 year old Barry From Watford was first brought to public consciousness when he became a cult star on Iain Lee's LBC 97.3FM phone-in show. London listeners loved Barry’s sunny outlook and joie de vie and followed him to Iain Lee’s show on Absolute Radio. He was also a regular feature in the form of the “lifestyle guru” on Steve Wright in the Afternoon on BBC Radio 2.

His viral hits about 'Minty Biscuits' and 'Carpetright' have amassed 100s of millions of hits whilst his Channel 4 game show with Noel Edmonds "Cheap Cheap Cheap" had literally 100s of viewers.

And now he's back!
