If you look a certain way, talk a certain way, and joke about certain things, you get used to people saying what they think of you. Bring it on. But recently I was stunned when a man called me ‘a prude’, like that’s a bad thing!

How is it that in 2027 being a prude has become a disgraceful slur? Something to be ashamed of, that we should want to deny? Shouldn't it be the other way round? Being a prude should be celebrated! Glorified! Rewarded! 

As a Muslim girl in Birmingham, a teacher in East End schools, and a woman in showbiz, I've met them all, from prudes to pros to perverts, and trust me, I know what’s best.
