Show Re-Scheduled - the Traveling Wilburys Songbook - King's Hall, Ilkley on Saturday 15 February 2020

Due to contingency planning for Storm Dennis, Bradford Council has today had to take the difficult decision to reschedule a performance of The Traveling Wilburys Songbook due to take place at King’s Hall in Ilkley on Saturday 15 February.

Due to Amber Warnings for rain issued by the Met Office and advanced flood warnings issued by the Environment Agency for much of the Bradford district including Ilkley, it is necessary for the venue to be set up as an Emergency Rest Centre, to provide shelter for anyone who may be affected by the storm.

The Traveling Wilburys Songbook will now visit King’s Hall, Ilkley on Saturday 10 April 2021.

Officers from Bradford Theatres are working hard to notify customers who have booked to see the show. In the first instance, Bradford Theatres will try and move customers to the rescheduled performance date. However, if the rescheduled date is no longer convenient, Bradford Theatres are happy to provide full refunds to these customers.

Mike Powell Emergency Planning Manager at Bradford Council, said:
“We’re really sorry that this event has had to be cancelled, but the safety of residents and visitors to the district is the most important thing. Because of the severity of the forecast and warnings for Storm Dennis and due to the ground being already saturated from Storm Ciara, we need to put plans in place to help those that may be affected; this includes opening Emergency Rest Centres that are safe and dry. I’d like to thank The Traveling Wilburys Songbook for their understanding and for working with Bradford Theatres to reschedule their performance.”
